Quinta da Lila

Escape into Nature

Quinta da Lila is a charming rural estate nestled in the verdant hills of the Serra de Monchique, near Monchique in the Algarve, Portugal. Surrounded by the region's breathtaking natural beauty, this tranquil retreat offers the perfect escape into nature. Combining historic charm with modern amenities, the estate provides an eco-conscious getaway in one of the Algarve's most serene mountain settings.

Spanning 3.3 hectares, Quinta da Lila features stone-walled terraces, primarily home to a vineyard, along with olive, lemon, orange, tangerine trees, and the rare local apple variety, "Pera de Monchique." Beyond the cultivated terraces lies a vast area of cork oaks and strawberry trees, used to distill the renowned local firewater, "medronho."

A standout feature of the estate is its three historic irrigation tanks, which have been transformed into plunge pools while preserving their original charm. Two of these pools are equipped with UVC filters, reducing the need for chemicals, while the third is fed by a natural spring with fresh mountain water flowing year-round. The estate is further enriched by natural springs and streams, enhancing its peaceful atmosphere and deep connection to nature.
