Of Newcastle, merchant; baptised 27 Sept.1663 at St. Nicholas. Descended maternally from from the famous Sir John Marley and from one of Cock's "canny hinnies"; Three times married; voted for Little Houghton, 1722; Died March 4th 1728; buried at St. Nicholas.
