General Notes: Alexander William Duke (1845-1912) qualified at Queens in 1867 and was appointed Assistant Surgeon in the Royal Army Medical Corps in October 1868. He was appointed Surgeon Colonel on 1st December 1898. He served in the South African War 1899-1900. In 1911 he had retired and was living in Tunbridge Wells, England. |
