Somerset Richard Lowry-Corry, 4th Earl Belmore was born on 9 April 1835 at Bruton Street, London, England .¹ He was the son of Armar Lowry-Corry, 3rd Earl of Belmore and Emily Louise Shepherd .¹ He married Anne Elizabeth Honoria Gladstone , daughter of John Neilson Gladstone and Elizabeth Honoria Bateson , on 22 August 1861 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England .¹ He died on 6 April 1913 at age 77 at Castle Coole, Inniskillen, Ireland .² He was buried on 9 April 1913 at Derryvullen, County Fermanagh, Ireland .²
Somerset Richard Lowry-Corry, 4th Earl Belmore was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England .¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Belmore of Castle Coole, co. Fermanagh [I., 1781] on 17 December 1845.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl Belmore [I., 1797] on 17 December 1845.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Viscount Belmore [I., 1789] on 17 December 1845.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England , in 1856 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between January 1857 and 1913.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England , with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He held the office of Under-Secretary for the Home Department between July 1866 and July 1867.¹ He held the office of Governor of New South Wales between 22 August 1867 and February 1872.¹ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 17 September 1867.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Fermanagh.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tyrone.³ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) on 22 March 1872.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.³ He held the office of Lord Justice [Ireland] between 1885 and 1896.¹ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) on 1 January 1890.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Tyrone in 1892.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Fermanagh Militia.³ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the London Irish R.V.³
In 1914 He had eight other daughters, all of whom died unmarried.³

Somerset married Anne Elizabeth Honoria GLADSTONE, daughter of Sir John Neilson GLADSTONE and Elizabeth Honoria BATESON, on 22 Aug 1861 in St George Hanover Square , London, Middlesex, England.
