Army Captain 50th and 99th Regts & Dairy Farmer In his middle and late teens, he took a keen interest in the family business (candle manufacturing). He served in the 50th and 99th regiment. lived at Scripplestown, Co. Dublin, Ireland. In 1868 he was recorded in Thom's Directory as residing at Cabra Villa, Phibsborough. This was "a large farm covering the present-day area of Cabra West and the farmhouse was situated where Fassaugh Avenue meet Broombridge Road today, adjacent ot the roundabout at the Ratoath Road junction. He was a successful farmer and proprietor of the Leinster Dairy." The property was sold to a Christopher KEOGH in 1880. 50th & 99th Regiments
