Sacred to the memory of Georgina, the beloved and honoured wife of Major T. Skinner, Commissioner of Public Works, Ceylon, daughter of the late Lt Gen. Burrell, CB. Born 20th June 1818 died in the Red Sea (Lat 25-04 N, Long 35-16E) 14 Aug. 1866. Although Georgina died in the Red Sea on 14 August 1866, the burial register shows that she was buried here on 1 September 1866

Georgina married Maj. Thomas Bridges Boucher SKINNER C.M.G., son of Lt.Col. William Thomas SKINNER R.A. and Ann WILLIAMS, on 19 Dec 1838. (Maj. Thomas Bridges Boucher SKINNER C.M.G. was born on 22 May 1804 in St. John the Baptist, St. John's, Newfoundland, died on 24 Jul 1877 in Grosvenor Place, Bath, Somerset, England and was buried in Bathwick Cemetary, , Somerset, England.)
