"My father was an officer in the English service, holding commissions first in the 84th, then in the 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade, and afterwards for many years in the 90th Light Infantry. While in this last regiment, he was quartered in the Ionian Islands, & in Malta. He died in Cork in 1855."
