Sir Cecil Clementi was born on 1 September 1875 at Cawnpore, Bengal, India. He was the son of Colonel Montague Clementi and Isabel Collard.He was baptised on 30 September 1875 at Cawnpore, Bengal, India. He married Marie Penelope Rose Eyres, daughter of Admiral Cresswell John Eyres and Rose Nankivell Townsend, in 1912. He died on 5 April 1947 at age 71 at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.
He held the office of Governor of Hong Kong. He held the office of Governor of the Straits Settlements. He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.). He held the office of High Commissioner for Malaya between 1925 and 1934. He lived at Holmer Court, Holmer Green, Buckinghamshire, England.1


Cecil married Marie Penelope Rose EYRES M.B.E., daughter of Adm. Cresswell John EYRES D.S.O., O.B.E. and Rose Nankivell TOWNSEND, on 12 Apr 1912 in Hong Kong Cathedral.1 (Marie Penelope Rose EYRES M.B.E. was born on 4 Nov 1889 and died in 1970 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, , Oxford, England.)
