VIVE LA CHAÎNE!

On Saturday 19 February 2022 members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Bailliage de l’Algarve were joined by the Bailli of Lisbon, Fernando Messias,  for a friendly gastronomic lunch at Restaurant “A Ver Tavira” which nestles in the at the foot of the castle in the picturesque streets of the old town of Tavira. Offering a beautiful, panoramic view of the old Moorish town down to the river and the sea “ A Ver Tavira", with its contemporary interior, is very much a combination of the old and the new going forward together. Chef Luis Brito was recently awarded a Michelin star, a well–deserved accolade for his international carrier which has seen him cook in Europe, Brazil and Angola. With inspiration in Portuguese cuisine traditions and the wonderful fresh produce of the Algarve region Chef Luis Brito’s vast experience is helping him create unique combinations and exciting twists to the dishes he serves.

The menu for the friendly gastronomic lunch had wines expertly selected and pared by Sommelier Claudia Abrantes who took the time to knowledgeably answer any queries and questions the group had regarding the wines she had selected.
